CAVITE CITY LAUNCHES FREE SOLAR-POWERED EV CHARGING STATION

Cavite City has launched a solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging station at the City Hall compound as part of its push for sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation.

Mayor Denver Chua said the project complements the city’s shift to electric vehicles and provides motorists with a convenient place to recharge.

The charging station is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis, with users required to obtain a tap card from the City Hall lobby.

Powered entirely by solar energy, the facility offers free charging while promoting clean and renewable energy.

City officials said the initiative reflects Cavite City’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and greener urban development.
