During a House quad-committee hearing, lawmakers expressed frustration with Katherine Cassandra Li Ong’s mysterious behavior and inconsistent answers regarding her involvement with Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs).
Ong, who works for Lucky South 99, was reprimanded by several lawmakers for her casual attitude and alleged dishonesty.
Amidst growing tension, Ong’s health deteriorated, leading to her being taken to the hospital with dangerously low blood pressure.
House Secretary General Reginald Velasco confirmed that Ong would be transferred to St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.
The committee remains critical of Ong’s reluctance to provide clear answers, especially concerning a significant financial transaction.
