CARLO BIADO CLINCHES WORLD 10-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP CROWN!

Carlo Biado secured the World 10-Ball Championship title with a commanding 3-1 victory over Japan’s Naoyuki Oi in Las Vegas, Nevada. Biado’s triumph, held on Saturday (Sunday Manila time), earned him the top purse of $75,000 (P4.202 million) and marked his second world title in pool.

The 40-year-old Filipino pool player previously clinched the World 9-Ball Championship in 2017 and also secured the US Open title in 2021, making this his second major victory in the United States.

Biado emerged as the sole Filipino contender among the 64-ranked players in the tournament sanctioned by the World Pool Association. Throughout the championship, he displayed exceptional skill, defeating notable opponents including Australia’s Justin Sajich, American Shane Van Boening, Taiwan’s Lin Wu Ku, Ko-Ping Chun of Taiwan, and Russia’s Fedor Gorst.

In the final match against Oi, Biado dominated, securing victories in the first game (4-1), third game (4-2), and fourth game (4-1), ultimately clinching the championship title and asserting his dominance in the tournament.
