Caritas Philippines’ vice chairman, San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza, has called on voters to reject candidates from political dynasties in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.
In an interview on Radio Veritas, Alminaza urged the public to closely monitor the filing of candidacies from October 1 to 8 and to consider filing disqualification cases against political families.
He emphasized the importance of exercising the right to vote and supporting candidates who genuinely aim to serve the nation.
Alminaza’s appeal aligns with the objectives of the newly formed Alyansa ng Nagkakaisang Mamamayan, a coalition dedicated to combating corruption and electoral fraud.
He encouraged Filipinos to actively participate in the electoral process for the betterment of the country.
