The Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) is set to host the seventh edition of the Eddys, an annual film award show, at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City on July 7.
The event will honor five movie icons for their significant contributions to the entertainment industry, with the late comic strip creator Carlo Caparas receiving a posthumous award.
Notable awardees include Nova Villa, Leo Martinez, Lito Lapid, Eva Darren, and Gina Alajar, recognized for their enduring efforts and dedication to elevate local film artistry.
The Eddys, organized by SPEEd, has been a significant element in the Philippine movie awards since its inception in 2017, celebrating diversity and excellence in the industry.
