BTS won three awards at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), taking home Song of the Year for “SWIM,” Best K-pop and Best Group.
The awards ceremony was held on Sept. 27 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with BTS not attending the event.
The Best Group victory marked BTS’ fifth award in the category, making the septet the most-awarded act in the category’s history.
The wins add to a major year for BTS, which reunited as a complete group in March and released its fifth studio album, “Arirang,” with “SWIM” later reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Madonna led the night with seven awards, while Taylor Swift won Video of the Year for
“The Fate of Ophelia” and Lisa of BLACKPINK took home Best Pop for “Dream.”
