K-pop powerhouse BTS has officially announced their much-anticipated comeback in spring 2026, with plans for a new group album and a global tour, igniting excitement among millions of fans worldwide.
The group has been on hiatus since 2022 to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service, with five members recently discharged in June.
Band leader RM shared that the group will begin regrouping this July in the U.S. to start working on music and preparing for performances.
Their upcoming album will mark their first group release in four years since Proof, South Korea’s best-selling album of 2022.
BTS, whose economic impact reached ₩5.5 trillion annually, is expected to reclaim its global influence as the most-streamed group on Spotify and a Billboard chart-topper.
