Superstar rookie Bella Belen makes her highly anticipated PVL debut today as Capital1 Solar Spikers battle the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the opening match of the PVL Reinforced Conference at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
The No. 1 overall draft pick and three-time UAAP MVP said she is ready for the challenge of transitioning from collegiate to professional play, with her sights set on a finals berth for Capital1.
Belen will face national team teammate Tia Andaya, who joins Choco Mucho’s veteran setter Deanna Wong under coach Dante Alinsunurin. Earlier at 4 p.m., ZUS Coffee and Akari square off, with American imports Anna DeBeer and Annie Mitchem leading their respective squads.
The two-month tournament promises high-level competition featuring both local stars and international reinforcements.
