The children of businessman Charlie “Atong” Ang have denied involvement in the disappearance of missing sabungeros, submitting counter-affidavits to the Department of Justice stating the accusations are baseless and unsupported by credible evidence. They, along with Ang and 59 others, are facing multiple serious charges, including murder and kidnapping. Their legal counsel emphasized that the complaint relies solely on the testimony of co-respondent and whistleblower Julie Patidongan, who is already on trial for kidnapping in the same case. The Angs argued that Patidongan is trying to deflect blame and avoid accountability by implicating others. The family expressed confidence that due process and truth will clear their names.
