Anthony Joshua has returned to training for “mental strength therapy” weeks after a car accident in Nigeria killed two of his close team members, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami, while he sustained minor injuries.
The crash occurred on December 29 on a busy Lagos-Ibadan highway, sparking speculation about Joshua’s boxing future.
Despite the tragedy, Joshua posted a video on Instagram showing himself hitting pads with a trainer, signaling his gradual return to activity.
Promoter Eddie Hearn emphasized that Joshua will take all the time he needs to recover physically, mentally, and emotionally before deciding on a potential comeback.
Talks of a bout with Tyson Fury remain on hold as Joshua focuses on coping with the loss of his friends.
