Angelica Panganiban is set to make her theater debut in the play “Don’t Meow for Me, Catriona,” part of Virgin Labfest 20: Hinog.
Though she had received previous offers, she waited until she felt fully ready to step out of her comfort zone and embrace the challenges of live theater.
Panganiban admitted to overcoming doubts and the need to “unlearn” film and TV acting techniques to adapt to the new medium.
The play, directed by Toni Go-Yadao and written by Ryan Machado, offers a shorter format, which Go-Yadao believes is the perfect opportunity for her stage debut.
Virgin Labfest 20 also features a diverse lineup of other short plays, showcasing fresh and innovative works.
