AMBASSADOR ENDO ENDS PH MISSION, EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO FILIPINOS

Outgoing Japanese Ambassador Endo Kazuya bid farewell to Filipinos on Friday after a two-and-a-half-year tour, calling his time in the Philippines “truly unforgettable.”

He thanked Filipinos for their unwavering support and friendship, saying he was humbled to serve during a period of strong Philippine-Japan relations.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. honored Endo a day earlier by conferring on him the Order of Sikatuna, Grand Cross with Distinction.

The award recognized his contributions to defense, security, development, infrastructure, education, and other areas of bilateral cooperation.

Endo also helped advance Japan’s support for peace and development in Mindanao and humanitarian efforts during disasters and regional crises.
