The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) reported that 99 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, had been repatriated to the Philippines as of October 20.
The returning workers included 34 Filipinos who arrived on Monday and another 65 who arrived in two batches on Tuesday.
One group of 15 traveled by land from Riyadh to Dammam before boarding a Gulf Air flight to Manila, while another 50 arrived aboard Qatar Airways.
The repatriation operation followed flight disruptions affecting Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia amid regional security tensions.
OWWA said 249 more OFWs had confirmed flight bookings from October 21 to 26, with assistance and repatriation expenses being provided through government support programs.
