An estimated 3.3 million people attended the Sinulog Grand Parade in Cebu City on January 18, according to local disaster authorities.
The crowd grew larger in the afternoon as temperatures cooled, with the heaviest gatherings at Fuente Osmeña and Mango Avenue.
Organizers used CCTV, drones, and other technology to monitor crowd density, including attendees inside and outside malls hosting festival activities.
Parade floats and performing artists attracted even more spectators along the route.
Police reported no major incidents, only a few dancers fainting from the heat, and said the event remained manageable due to preparedness measures.
