According to Mayor Abby Binay, the Makati government successfully referred over 14,000 jobseekers to private companies last year.
Through the city’s Job Referral and Placement Program, 14,710 out of 15,967 applicants were hired, resulting in a 92 percent hiring rate.
Mayor Binay highlighted the program’s success as a testament to the city’s commitment to tackling unemployment and providing job opportunities.
She emphasized that innovative programs and partnerships between the city government and the private sector have a lasting impact on the community.
In 2024, the city hosted two mega job fairs at the AyalMallls Circuit Makati in June and October, further supporting job seekers.
