Meralco has restored power to around 12,000 customers affected by flooding and outages in Cavite, Metro Manila, and Bulacan as of July 23.
The utility remains on high alert due to Tropical Depression Dante and the enhanced southwest monsoon, which continue to bring heavy rains across its service areas.
Meralco has deployed rescue teams using high-bed trucks and motorized boats to aid power restoration and rescue efforts in flooded communities.
The company’s social development arm has also begun disaster relief initiatives to support affected residents.
Meanwhile, the Department of Energy reported that power plants and the national grid are operating normally, though some electric cooperatives still face partial outages as restoration efforts continue.
