President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced that over 1,200 local government units (LGUs) have adopted automation to improve their transactions.
During the End-Term General Assembly of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Marcos emphasized the national government’s push for digitizing services and enhancing collaboration with sectors to meet the evolving needs of LGUs.
He highlighted the implementation of the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS), with 113 LGUs fully complying with its requirements as of last year.
Marcos underscored the importance of digitalization in preventing the country from falling behind in technological advancements.
He urged government leaders at all levels to embrace technology to enhance service delivery and meet modern demands effectively.
