WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED BABY SALE VIA FACEBOOK

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested Christina Paule in Muntinlupa City for attempting to sell a baby through Facebook.

Paule will be charged with child trafficking after an NBI agent posed as a buyer and arranged to meet her for the transaction.

Posing as a midwife, Paule offered to sell a 6-day-old baby for P25,000. When she presented the baby in exchange for money, the agent signaled for her arrest.

The baby has been turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development, highlighting the government’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking.
