Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte was honored with the first-ever Visionary Vanguard Award by the Seagulls Flock Organization (SFO) during the closing ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on Responsible Gambling and Gaming Addiction.
The award was given in recognition of her strong advocacy for mental health, recovery, and inclusive community development initiatives in the city.
Once again, Quezon City served as the proud host of the global summit, which brought attention to pressing issues surrounding gambling and gaming addiction.
The three-day conference was held in collaboration with the SFO, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), and the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board.
In her message, Mayor Belmonte thanked the organizers and reaffirmed her commitment to creating a safer, healthier, and more compassionate Quezon City for all.
