Veteran showbiz columnist and talent manager Lolit Solis passed away at 78 after a long battle with kidney disease, her family announced.
Since 2022, she has been undergoing dialysis and was diagnosed with an acute kidney infection in 2023.
Solis began her career in the 1970s as a police beat reporter before becoming a prominent entertainment journalist, talk show host, and actress.
The Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) praised her fearless and influential presence in the industry, honoring her legacy as a mentor and pioneer.
Her family and colleagues remember her as a beloved and bold figure who left an indelible mark on Philippine showbiz.
