VALENZUELA’S READING CAMP SET TO HELP 1,246 NONREADERS

In Valenzuela City, 1,246 students from Grades 3 to 6 identified as nonreaders or frustrated readers will participate in a 10-day Reading Camp starting July 10.

Mayor Weslie Gatchalian confirmed that 64 trained reading coordinators will lead the sessions, equipped with modular kits and techniques taught by Dr. Milwida Guevara of the Synergeia Foundation.

The camp, supported by Vice Mayor Lorie Natividad-Borja’s office and 128 teacher’s aides from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, aims to improve reading skills through innovative teaching methods.

The initiative is part of Valenzuela’s Education 360 Degrees Investment Program to enhance literacy and educational standards in the city.
