Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV has officially joined Aksyon Demokratiko as part of his candidacy preparations for the 2025 mayoral race in Caloocan.
Confirming his membership through social media, Trillanes was sworn in by party chairman Ernest Ramel Jr. on Monday.
Ramel emphasized the party’s commitment to clean and efficient governance, warmly welcoming Trillanes into their ranks. Aksyon Demokratiko, led by former Manila mayor Isko Moreno as president and Sonia Roco as chairperson emeritus, positions itself for upcoming electoral engagements.
Meanwhile, Congresswoman Arlene Brosas of Gabriela has announced her bid for the Senate, highlighting her advocacy for women’s rights and progressive policies, and expressing her determination to challenge established political norms in the upcoming midterm elections.
