The Department of Education (DepEd) has reduced public school teachers’ paperwork by 57 percent to allow more time for teaching and collaboration.
Under DepEd Order No. 06, s. 2025, the number of regularly required forms has been cut from 174 to just five.
Teachers welcomed the change, saying it enables them to focus more on student preparation, feedback, and professional development.
Educators also noted that the reform promotes creativity, flexibility, and better engagement in team teaching.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara emphasized that the move prioritizes quality instruction and teacher well-being to improve learning outcomes.
