The Philippine National Police (PNP) assured security for the suspect who claimed that 34 missing “sabungeros” were strangled and dumped in Taal Lake, Batangas.
The suspect, a security guard at Manila Arena, admitted to the alleged killings and must now execute an affidavit as part of the investigation.
PNP Chief is willing to personally inspect the site, noting the challenge of the lake’s depth, which may require technical divers.
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla confirmed that forensic investigators may use divers to verify the suspect’s claims and locate the remains.
Authorities urged cooperation with the police and vowed to exhaust all efforts to uncover the truth.
