A recent OCTA Research survey reveals that more Filipinos identify as pro-Marcos than pro-Duterte, with 38% supporting President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and only 15% backing the Duterte family and their allies.
Conducted from August 28 to September 2, the survey showed a slight increase in Marcos’s support, up two points from June, while Duterte’s support dropped one point.
Notably, 26% of respondents identified as independents, down six points from the previous survey, and another 14% declined to answer the question.
Support for the Marcos administration was strongest in balance in Luzon and Metro Manila, while the Duterte family retained the highest support in Mindanao at 48%.
The survey, which included 1,200 respondents and a margin of error of plus/minus three percent, was conducted ahead of the 2025 midterm polls.
