SUBPOENA TO BE ISSUED FOR BATO’S CONTACTS AS NBI TRACES PADILLA-LINKED SITES

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said it will issue subpoenas to individuals who may have had contact with Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa following raids conducted in several locations on Wednesday, May 27.

NBI official Melvin Matibag said investigators are preparing subpoenas and warned that anyone who helps the senator evade authorities could face legal consequences.

The raids, carried out with the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, reportedly targeted areas linked to Dela Rosa, including a residence in Angeles City connected to a relative of Sen. Robin Padilla.

Authorities also said vehicle records suggest links between Padilla’s vehicle and Dela Rosa’s movement during his disappearance, prompting further investigation into possible coordination.

Meanwhile, Dela Rosa’s firearms license and registration for over 100 guns have been revoked, while the NBI continues to consider him “armed and dangerous” as the probe expands.
