Senator Francis Tolentino has filed his candidacy for a second term in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.
Accompanied by his brother, Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, and Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, he expressed his commitment to continue the progress made under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s administration.
Tolentino aims to focus on economic recovery, foreign relations, and defense, specifically targeting the upliftment of the emerging middle class.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining the Senate’s independence, regardless of political affiliations, and clarified that he holds former President Rodrigo Duterte in high regard, stating there is no animosity between them.
Running under the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas party, Tolentino believes that the current administration’s goals will benefit the Filipino people and enhance the country’s economic stability.
