SENATE FINDS ROBUST EVIDENCE IN MUHLACH CASE AGAINST DEFENDANTS

A Senate panel investigating allegations of sexual harassment against actor Sandro Muhlach has found “strong evidence” against the two independent contractors from GMA Network, Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz.

Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada reported that the evidence points strongly toward the accused, though final details will depend on further investigation by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Nones and Cruz, who attended the hearing, denied the allegations and argued that their gender identity was being misused to link them to the charges.

They requested the public to withhold judgment and urged Muhlach to reveal the truth.

The panel held an executive session to review text messages and other evidence related to the case, with Nones and Cruz asserting that their prior apology to Niño Muhlach was not an admission of guilt.
