Senator Bong Go was honored with the Public Servant Leaders Award by Rising Tigers Magazine for his significant contributions to public service, making him the only senator to receive the award during the 3rd Rising Tigers Charity Ball held on October 30.
In his acceptance speech, Go emphasized the importance of doing what is right in public service, highlighting that true leadership requires compassion, commitment, and a willingness to sacrifice for others.
He recognized the collaborative efforts of fellow awardees, who he believes play vital roles in national development through their community initiatives.
Known as “Mr. Malasakit,” Go has been a strong advocate for health care accessibility, having enacted the Malasakit Centers Act and worked towards establishing Super Health Centers across the country.
His dedication to improving the lives of Filipinos is reflected in his legislative efforts, which include the establishment of the National Academy of Sports and the Regional Specialty Centers Act, aimed at enhancing education and health services for the community.
