Senator Imee Marcos confirmed that Vice President Sara Duterte has maintained a low profile and is staying silent, reflecting, and meditating.
Marcos made the remarks during the Kapihan sa Senado forum, stating that Duterte is avoiding public engagement for now.
This comes after President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed disappointment over Duterte’s claim that they were never friends, despite their 2022 election partnership.
Senator Marcos distanced herself from the conflict, saying she doesn’t interfere in disputes between friends.
She also mentioned that discussions on the slashed budget for the Vice President’s office have yet to begin.
