Actress Nadine Lustre has filed a complaint for alleged violation of the Safe Spaces Act following persistent and malicious attacks against her on social media.
Incoming ML Partylist Rep. Leila de Lima expressed full support for Lustre’s case, highlighting the need to protect voices advocating for justice and reform.
De Lima emphasized that while freedom of expression is important, it should not be used to spread falsehoods or silence the truth.
She described the attacks on social media as deliberate efforts to harass, discredit, and instill fear.
De Lima affirmed that supporting Lustre’s case is a stand for truth, accountability, and the defense of a humane and democratic society.
