Former Duterte administration spokesman Harry Roque Jr. has dismissed claims that he is a fugitive, asserting that he is simply exercising his rights.
Speaking on Facebook Live, Roque argued that he is protected by the Bill of Rights and is awaiting the Supreme Court’s decision on the legality of an arrest warrant issued by the House quad committee for his failure to submit documents related to his assets.
Roque, who denies any involvement in unexplained wealth, criticized the committee’s actions and emphasized his commitment to judicial review.
The committee has warned that if he fails to appear at the next hearing, a hold departure order may be issued against him.
Additionally, Roque’s wife may face a show cause order for her non-appearance, as her signature is linked to a lease contract connected to the investigation.
