REVILLA SUPPORTS MARCOS’ MOVE TO RAISE GOVERNMENT SALARIES

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. praised President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for fulfilling his promise to increase the salaries and benefits of civilian government employees, as announced during the President’s State of the Nation Address.

The salary adjustments, detailed in Executive Order 64, apply to all civilian government personnel across various branches of government, with implementation set in four tranches beginning January 1, 2024.

In addition to the salary hike, employees will also receive an annual medical allowance of up to P7,000 starting in FY 2025.

Revilla, who had previously advocated for the Salary Standardization VI bill, expressed his gratitude for the President’s decisive action to improve government workers’ compensation.

He emphasized the vital role of civil servants and the importance of recognizing their hard work and sacrifices.
