REMULLA URGES NEW OFFICIALS TO PRIORITIZE PUBLIC WELFARE OVER POLITICS

DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla urged newly elected local officials to set aside politics and focus on improving the lives of their constituents, echoing President Marcos Jr.’s call for stronger national-local collaboration.

Speaking to provincial governors and city mayors from Metro Manila, Remulla encouraged leaders to rise above online cynicism and demonstrate hope through good governance.

He highlighted the importance of delivering tangible services such as education, scholarships, and medical aid to build trust among the people.

Remulla stressed that “Ang Bagong Pilipinas” represents a path forward, where hope must prevail despite prevailing cynicism.

He concluded by calling for unity and leadership that transcends partisan divides, emphasizing solidarity for their provinces, regions, and the nation.
