DILG Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla Jr. is conducting dialogues with local chief executives (LCEs) and visiting various regions to enhance the operations and systems of both the department and local government units (LGUs).
He emphasized the importance of efficient, time-saving processes such as setting appointments with LCEs to improve productivity and address their needs more effectively.
During his visit to Baguio, Remulla acknowledged the city’s six-year request for a fire station and vowed to act on it as soon as he returned to Manila.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong praised Remulla’s visits as both productive and constructive, helping resolve long-standing issues like requests for police vehicles and firetrucks.
Remulla also reiterated his strict stance on police malfeasance, saying he would not hesitate to file charges against negligent or corrupt officers.
