A Pasig regional trial court has denied a motion to place Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy under hospital arrest, despite his legal team citing medical concerns.
His lawyer, Israelito Torreon, stated that while the motion was rejected, the court allowed coordination with Camp Crame’s warden for potential hospital visits within the PNP General Hospital.
Quiboloy, currently detained over charges of qualified human trafficking and child sex abuse, remains a senatorial candidate despite a party disowning his bid.
The Commission on Elections clarified that he may still run as an independent.
Additionally, Quiboloy’s lawyer and 11 others face sedition charges for allegedly obstructing police during his arrest.
