Quezon City saw a nearly 13 percent decrease in crime volume last month, according to police reports.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) recorded 137 crimes in July, down from 157 in June, reflecting a 12.73 percent drop.
Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan highlighted that the eight focus crimes, including murder, theft, and carjacking, are closely monitored to assess city safety.
Additionally, the weekly crime rate fell by 41.37 percent, from 29 cases to 17 between July 29 and August 4.
Maranan praised QCPD personnel for their efforts and emphasized the commitment to continuing these positive crime reduction trends through vigilant and effective law enforcement.
