For the third year in a row, Quezon City has been recognized as the Overall Most Competitive Local Government Unit in the country, specifically in the Highly Urbanized Cities category, by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
During the Philippine Creative Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Congress at the Manila Hotel, Quezon City stood out in various key areas, earning accolades in the following categories:
1st Place: Most Competitive LGU among Highly Urbanized Cities in the Philippines
1st Place: Most Competitive in Infrastructure
1st Place: Most Competitive in Resiliency
1st Place: Most Competitive in Innovation
2nd Place: Most Competitive in Economic Dynamism
Special Citation: 1st Place in Top Intellectual Property Filers
Mayor Joy Belmonte graciously accepted the awards, joined by Margie Santos, the Head of the Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD), and Mona Yap, the Head of the Small Business Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (SBCDPO).
This latest recognition is a testament to Quezon City’s continued commitment to improving the lives of its residents and businesses.
The city has made significant investments in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social services in recent years. It has also implemented innovative programs and initiatives to support businesses and entrepreneurs.
