The Quezon City Law and Order Cluster has finalized security arrangements for President Marcos’ upcoming State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 22, coordinating with multiple agencies to ensure a safe environment.
City hall resources have been mobilized to support national deployment efforts, with emphasis on facilitating peaceful assemblies while urging demonstrators to secure permits from the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS).
Mayor Joy Belmonte affirmed Quezon City’s commitment to upholding democratic rights, encouraging rally organizers to maintain order and comply with regulations.
The Quezon City Police District plans to deploy 6,500 personnel around the Batasang Pambansa complex, supported by additional forces from Task Force Disiplina and local barangays.
Measures include traffic management strategies and free QCity Bus rides to minimize disruptions during the event.
