Quezon City 1st District Rep. Juan Carlos Atayde began his second term in Congress by filing eight priority measures focused on health care, labor, creative industries, and equality.
Among his proposed bills are the expansion of East Avenue Medical Center’s capacity, standardization of barangay officials’ salaries, and the creation of a forensic DNA database.
Atayde also seeks to regulate AI in the workforce, recognize Quezon City as the Film and TV Arts Capital, promote film tourism, and ban SOGIE-based discrimination.
He filed a resolution to rename MRT-7’s North EDSA station to “Bago Bantay North EDSA Station” to honor local heritage.
Emphasizing swift, inclusive service, Atayde said his legislative agenda was shaped by the voices and needs of his constituents and his experience from his first term.
