QC AWARDS ₱1-M GRANTS TO SEVEN STARTUPS DRIVING INNOVATION

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced that seven startups have each been awarded ₱1 million under the city’s Startup QC Program, launched in 2022 to support early-stage innovators.

Selected from nine finalists, the grantees offer scalable and socially driven solutions in sectors such as clean energy, HR technology, recreation, health, property technology, and AI-driven business development.

Belmonte said the initiative strengthens the city’s innovation ecosystem through funding, mentorship, and access to a growing network of entrepreneurs.

The city government is also finalizing an incentives ordinance to provide fiscal support and a nurturing environment for startup growth under the “Invest with QC” campaign.

Belmonte emphasized that this year’s awardees reflect the evolving needs of Filipino communities and highlight QC’s commitment to inclusive, tech-driven development.
