Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros expects President Marcos Jr.’s order for lifestyle checks to include himself amid the ongoing corruption probe into flood control projects.
She supports the directive, saying it promotes transparency and shows good faith to the public.
Hontiveros is willing to undergo a lifestyle check herself and suggests the entire minority bloc should do the same.
However, she stressed that the order would have a greater impact if Marcos led by example by disclosing his own Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).
She also noted that SALNs are public documents and should be accessible under the freedom of information principle.
