President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. emphasized that putting the entire cabinet on probation after the 2025 midterm elections is about public service, not friendship.
He likened the process to the military, where failure to perform duties leads to removal regardless of personal ties.
Last May 22, Marcos ordered all cabinet members to tender courtesy resignations to allow a review of their performance.
While some key officials were retained, resignations of several others, especially non-departmental officials, were accepted.
Marcos stressed that the public expects results, not politics or excuses, and that the government will act accordingly.
