The Parish Pastoral Council on Responsible Voting (PPCRV) plans to introduce voter education into schools through its new values development program, highlighted by the launch of the “Tibok Pinoy” book.
PPCRV Head of Voter Education Committee, Ana De Villa-Singson, emphasized that this initiative aims to provide organized and effective teaching methods, responding to concerns about Filipino students’ performance in international assessments.
She noted the importance of reinstating ethics and values education in schools and mentioned that trainers and parish educators will be involved in disseminating the program.
De Villa-Singson also expressed hope for collaboration with the Department of Education and various educational institutions to integrate the program into school curriculums.
The free books are intended for students aged 12 to 16 but are designed to be useful for a broader audience.
