PNP LAUNCHES ‘KONTRA BIGAY’ CAMPAIGN TO ENSURE CLEAN ELECTIONS IN 2025

In preparation for the 2025 elections, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil directed all personnel to fully support the Kontra Bigay campaign, a vital part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s push for clean and honest elections. This initiative aligns with the Commission on Elections (Comelec)’s efforts to combat vote-buying and selling, under the expanded Kontra Bigay 2.0. The campaign empowers law enforcement agencies such as the PNP, AFP, and NBI to take immediate action, including warrantless arrests for those caught in the act of vote manipulation. Marbil urged the public to report any instances of electoral fraud, as violators face severe penalties. The move reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
