The Philippine National Police General Hospital (PNPGH) said it is ready to receive former Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan, but is still waiting for his laboratory results and medical clearance from The Medical City.
PNPGH chief Col. Cleto Manongas said doctors and nurses have prepared his room and monitoring equipment, while coordination with his attending physicians continues.
He added that Bonoan is currently stable, but further tests, including angiogram and 2D echo results, are needed before confirming his fitness for transfer or trial.
Medical records show Bonoan has several conditions, including heart-related ailments, hypertension, diabetes, and other illnesses, which are still being fully evaluated.
The Sandiganbayan has ordered his hospital confinement, while he and other officials face plunder and graft charges linked to a flood control corruption case.
