PLUNDER COMPLAINT WORTH P6.6 BILLION FILED BY TRILLANES AGAINST DUTERTE, GO

Former senator Antonio Trillanes IV has filed a plunder complaint against former president Rodrigo Duterte and Sen. Bong Go with the Department of Justice (DOJ), alleging P6.6 billion in government contracts awarded to companies owned by Go’s family.

Trillanes cited Commission on Audit records, claiming the contracts, awarded to CLTG Builders and Alfrego Builders and Supply, enriched Go’s family at the public’s expense.

Go has denied the allegations, calling them politically motivated and recycled from 2018.

Trillanes explained he chose the DOJ over the Office of the Ombudsman due to better access to validating documents. Go welcomed the filing, saying it could finally end the issue.
