Amid ongoing heavy rains and flooding, the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) assured the public that essential mail services remain operational, with temporary suspensions only in hazardous areas.
The Central Mail Exchange Center continues to function fully, following disaster response protocols to ensure the safety of personnel and secure deliveries.
Acting Postmaster General Maximo Sta. Maria III highlighted PHLPost’s crucial role in maintaining communication and supporting relief efforts during crises.
In addition to postal services, PHLPost deployed trucks to help deliver 3,400 food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development to flood-affected communities in Bulacan.
The agency is coordinating closely with disaster agencies to provide additional logistical support as needed for disaster response and recovery.
