The Philippine Postal Corporation has announced expanded efforts to improve employee welfare ahead of Labor Day, focusing on allowances, incentives, promotions, and workplace conditions for postal workers nationwide.
Postmaster General Maximo Sta. Maria and Chairman Kristjan Vicente Gargantiel said the agency has begun rolling out health programs, training sessions, and protective gear distribution for frontline “karteros” while addressing concerns on gasoline allowances and CNA incentives.
Management also clarified that promotions are merit-based and cited the regularization of 83 contract workers as part of efforts to improve personnel mobility.
Officials acknowledged ongoing communication gaps and said they are working with unions to ensure fair and transparent resolutions to employee concerns.
PHLPost leadership emphasized that strengthening worker support is key to improving overall public service delivery.
