The Philippines and the United States have concluded the Tempest Wind 2024 counterterrorism exercise, focusing on crisis action missions and strategic policy coordination.
Over 350 personnel participated in the complex events, designed to enhance joint capabilities and deepen the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
The exercise included a command post simulation to test planning, coordination, and communication between Philippine and US forces.
US Army Col. Sean Berg highlighted the value of the exercise in strengthening the ability to respond to terrorism and ensuring regional peace.
Tempest Wind is part of the broader US Indo-Pacific Command’s military engagement program, aimed at improving skills and partnerships across the Indo-Pacific region.
